In our fast-paced world, your mind can feel like a never-ending storm – stress, anxiety, constant distractions. Mindfulness & Meditation at AMPT offers a sanctuary from that storm. Just as we train our bodies, we can train our minds to be healthier and more resilient.

Our program is all about helping you find inner peace and focus, whether you’re a total beginner who “can’t sit still” or someone looking to deepen their practice. These sessions are where you learn to breathe, be present, and ultimately carry that sense of calm into every aspect of your life. Paired with our fitness training or on their own, mindfulness and meditation are the secret sauce to a truly holistic transformation – because a fit mind is just as important as a fit body.

What We Offer


Our Mindfulness & Meditation services include a variety of formats to suit your needs:

  • Guided Meditation Classes: Small-group sessions (in-gym or virtual) where an instructor leads you through a meditation. These could be themed – for example, a “Stress Melt Meditation” focusing on breathing techniques to release tension, or a “Morning Mindfulness” session to start your day with clarity and positivity. Classes typically last 20-30 minutes, making them easy to fit into your schedule. All you have to do is show up, get comfortable (sit on a cushion or chair), and follow the guidance. Even if your mind wanders (it’s normal!), our coaches gently bring you back to center. You’ll finish feeling centered and refreshed.
  • Mindfulness Workshops & Courses: For those who want to dive deeper, we periodically run multi-week courses and one-off workshops. In a 4-Week Mindfulness Basics course, for instance, you’d meet once a week to learn different techniques (breath awareness, body scan, mindful movement, gratitude practice, etc.) and discuss your experiences. We also have workshops like “Meditation for Sleep”, “Breathwork 101”, or “Mindful Eating”. These interactive sessions help you build skills step by step and troubleshoot common challenges (yes, we’ll address that pesky overthinking mind!).
  • One-on-One Mindfulness Coaching: If you prefer a personal touch, we offer individual sessions where a coach tailors practices specifically for you. This is great if you’re dealing with particular stressors, or you want to integrate mindfulness into your daily routine in a way that sticks. It’s like personal training, but for mental well-being. We might even incorporate some gentle movement or yoga if that helps you focus better.

All of our offerings are secular and science-backed, while also being very approachable. You don’t need any prior experience or special skills – come as you are, even if you think “I’m just not a calm person.” Especially if you think that! Those are the folks who often benefit the most.

1. Reduce Stress & Anxiety

This is the big one. Regular meditation is like a reset button for your nervous system. Through breathing exercises and mindfulness, you’ll activate your body’s relaxation response. Over time, that crushing stress or constant worry can loosen its grip. Many of our participants report better sleep, less anxiety, and a greater sense of ease after just a few weeks. When life throws curveballs, you’ll have techniques to stay grounded and respond calmly instead of feeling overwhelmed.

2. Improve Focus & Mental Clarity

Do you often feel scatterbrained or distracted? Mindfulness is essentially a workout for your brain’s focus muscle. By practicing gently bringing your attention back (to your breath, an intention, or a point of focus), you’ll get better at concentrating in daily life. That means improved productivity, sharper focus at work or study, and more presence with loved ones. Your mind will learn to wander less, and when it does wander, you can bring it back with ease. Clarity emerges when the mental chatter quiets down.

3. Enhance Emotional Well-being

Meditation helps you get in touch with your thoughts and feelings in a healthy way. Instead of being swept away by a bad mood or instant reaction, you develop the ability to observe your emotions without judgment. This leads to improved emotional resilience – you might notice you don’t get as angry at small annoyances, or you recover faster from disappointments. Plus, practices like gratitude meditation can boost your overall happiness by training your mind to recognize the positive.

4. Mind-Body Connection

At AMPT we love to integrate mind and body, and this service epitomizes that. As you become more mindful, you’ll start to notice body signals better – tension, pain, fatigue – and respond kindly (maybe you realize when you need a rest day, or you catch yourself clenching your jaw and can release it). If you’re doing physical training with us, mindfulness will elevate it: you’ll lift with better form because you’re truly present, or breathe through challenging workouts with more grace. It’s the secret to getting more out of exercise and avoiding burnout or injury.

AMPT is proudly located in the heart of Savannah’s West Broad neighborhood at 411 W. Charlton St., Unit A, Savannah, GA 31401 – a historic area that’s as vibrant as our gym’s murals. We chose this location because we believe in community, and we love being part of this one. (Plus, there’s free parking in the West Broad lot, so you can focus on your workout, not worry about the meter.) Our space is designed to make you feel at home – from the friendly front-desk greetings to our resident gym dog occasionally wandering over for a belly rub!
