Age Well Program
Stay strong, mobile, and independent at any age
Growing older is inevitable; feeling older is not. Our Age Well program is all about helping you maintain youthfulness in body and spirit through smart, safe exercise. Whether you’re in your 50s, 60s, 70s or beyond, it’s never too late to start – or step up – a fitness routine. In fact, it’s one of the best investments you can make in your quality of life.
We understand the unique challenges (and opportunities!) that come with getting older: creaky joints, reduced flexibility, maybe a past injury or two. The good news? With the right training, you can improve many of those issues. Our clients in this program often say they feel younger now than they did 10 years ago!

Why Train as You Age?
As we age, muscle mass naturally declines, bones can get weaker, and balance isn’t what it used to be. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Regular physical activity – especially strength training and mobility work – can counteract these effects by preserving muscle, promoting bone density, and keeping joints healthy. The goal of Age Well is to help you continue doing the things you love (playing with the grandkids, hiking, gardening, or just getting out of a chair with ease) for many years to come. When your body moves efficiently and stays strong, you reduce wear and tear and gain confidence in everyday life. In short, we help you age actively and gracefully.

Program Highlights
1. Functional Strength
We focus on exercises that improve your day-to-day functioning. Think lifting (groceries as well as dumbbells), carrying, reaching, and climbing stairs. Building strength in your legs, core, and upper body ensures you can handle real-life activities with ease.
2. Balance & Stability
Falls are a big concern as we get older. That’s why we incorporate balance drills, single-leg exercises, and coordination work. You’ll strengthen those small stabilizer muscles and practice movements that enhance your stability. Many clients see their balance improve within weeks, giving them more confidence in every step.
3. Flexibility & Joint Care
Stiff hips? Tight shoulders? We’ve got you. Each session includes gentle stretching and mobility exercises tailored to your needs – maybe yoga-inspired moves for flexibility or foam rolling for sore muscles. We also teach proper movement mechanics to help reduce strain on your joints.
4. Adaptability
Perhaps the best part – we meet you where you are. If you’re managing conditions like arthritis, osteoporosis, or a replaced knee/hip, our trainers know how to adapt. We work within your comfort levels and any doctor’s recommendations. Progress may be gradual, but it will be steady and safe.
SUCCESS STORIES
Others’ Results
“I joined AMPT at 63, and I was worried I’d be the slowest person in the gym. But the team made me feel comfortable from day one. Three years later, I come twice a week and feel fantastic. I’ve improved my posture, my knee pain is almost gone, and I can lift my 5-year-old grandson without strain! My doctor was even impressed at my check-up. I truly feel stronger and younger – AMPT gave me a new lease on life.”

“I came to AMPT looking for someone to help get me back into shape and hold me accountable. Travis, Ricky and Sergio have been such a pleasure to work with at the gym. Travis & Sergio each push me without putting me at risk of injury. I’m seeing results and that has helped keep me motivated and coming back. Th three of them show up with a smile and positive attitude for my 6AM workouts.”

Massive Savings (A Smart Investment)
Keeping fit saves on medical bills. A recent study found that active adults incur roughly $6,566 per year in health expenses, whereas insufficiently active people spend about $1,300–$2,000 more annually!
Scaling up, sedentary lifestyles add an estimated $192 billion to U.S. healthcare costs each year. By contrast, exercise and good nutrition strengthen heart and metabolic health, reducing chronic diseases. For example, people with type 2 diabetes spend on average ~$19,736 per year on medical care (about $12,000 of which is directly due to diabetes; avoiding diabetes via lifestyle changes can save thousands of dollars each year. In short, regular physical activity directly cuts doctors’ visits, medications and treatments for obesity-related conditions, yielding annual savings of roughly $1–2K per person
Over decades, the savings compound. Conservatively, saving $1,500 per year on health costs adds up to $45,000 over 30 years (not counting inflation or interest). A fit lifestyle also extends healthy years: people who exercise regularly avoid costly late-life conditions. For context, U.S. per-capita health spending is roughly $14,500 per year, so cutting even a few thousand every year is substantial. These dollars saved can be redirected to retirement savings or quality-of-life – a clear return on the investment in fitness.
Your Journey
Getting Started
1
Consultation & Warm Welcome
Come in for a chat. We’ll discuss your medical history, any pain points, and your goals (be it keeping up with family, improving your golf swing, or just feeling better every day). We’ll also address any fears you have – many of our members started out nervous, so we understand!
2
Baseline Assessment
We do a gentle fitness assessment – checking things like balance (can you stand on one foot?), flexibility (simple reach tests), and basic strength (maybe a chair sit-to-stand). This isn’t a “test” – it’s just to help us personalize your program.
3
Personalized Plan
Based on where you are, we craft a plan that’s challenging but doable. We might start with 2 sessions a week focusing on full-body routines. As you progress, we’ll adjust. We keep things interesting with new exercises, and we always listen to how you’re feeling each day.
4
Supportive Coaching
Our trainers are patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable about older adult fitness. We’ll ensure you’re doing exercises correctly and safely. If something doesn’t feel right, we’ll find an alternative. You’ll never be pushed beyond what’s safe – but we will make sure you’re steadily improving.
5
Track Your Triumphs
We’ll celebrate improvements – no matter how small. Maybe you couldn’t balance on one foot for more than 3 seconds at first, and now you can do 10. Or you had trouble carrying laundry and now it’s easy. These are HUGE wins! We love sharing these moments with you. Occasionally, we’ll re-test certain movements so you can tangibly see your progress.
It’s never too late to invest in your health. Imagine yourself a few months from now: more energetic, more flexible, more free. We’d love to be the team that helps you get there.
